Madhugiri is a small sleepy town in southern part of Karnataka, India. Blessed with igneous monolith formations, this region offers some refershing trekking routes. The landscape has sublime charm and offers a zen-like barrenness. The mountains have been eroded and weathered across their surfaace. The monsoon brings showers and a lush green cover, to animate the age old brown monolith.
Built across this rugged terrain are some medival forts and palaces, which served as bastions for deccan sultans. Now in ruins, these cultural landscapes (a hand of nature and another of a man) are enigmatic.
